Who is a Salesman?

  • A man whose job involves selling or promoting commercial products, either in a shop or visiting locations to get orders. 

  • Sellers experience more ups and downs in a week than most professionals in a month. The successful employees learn to deal with their emotions and stay in the middle. 

  • When things are going well and almost all the contracts have been signed, they remember not to get too cocky. When business slows down, they tell themselves not to be demoralized. Sales will increase soon if they keep working.

How To Become A Salesman?

There is no minimum requirement for anyone to be a salesman/sales representative.

  • The role of the seller is critical to a company's success. It is astounding how little pressure the industry has put on choosing the best raw material. To sell effectively, a seller must have empathy. To sell effectively on the foreign market and cross-cultural borders, even more, empathy is required.

  • The second quality that a good seller desperately needs is a certain type of ego drive. This makes them do the selling in a personal or selfish way, not just to make money. The marketing of goods and services everywhere requires a lot of ego drive. Because of the nature of the sale, the seller will not sell more times than he will succeed. A subtle balance must be struck between

    • an ego that is partially weakened in just the right way to need a great improvement (sales), and
    • an ego that is strong enough to fail through failure to be motivated but not to be smashed by this.

  • The drive, the need to make the sale, and his empathy give him the connecting tool with which he can do this.

  • Most people either become sensitized, do research, or try to make a decision. If you are trying to avoid the annoying antics of a used car dealer, turn away from the sale and help the customer.
