How to become a Detective in India?

There are two ways to become Detective in India

  1. Get a postgraduate degree in Criminology from recognized institutes and start a private detective career

  2. Clear exams such as UPSC or state public service commission and choose the police service option

What Are The Growth Prospects for a Detective in India?

  • To be eligible for becoming a detective, the student must have passed 12th with any stream. After that, the student must have done graduation in any discipline.

  • The detectives are of two types, private detectives and government detectives.

  • To become a government detective, the person must go to the police service and must have done the detective training. 

  • To work as a government detective/for different government agencies, students need to appear for various exams conducted by the government of India like SSC-CGL, NIA, UPSC exam.

  • To become eligible for the private detective, one should complete his or her graduation in any discipline. Then the person should complete the private detective course from some reputed detective agency or private college. 

  • After completing the graduation the person can apply in any detective agency. A person should work in the detective agency and should gain enough knowledge in the detective field only then he or she can be able to become a private detective.
