Nanoscience, or nanotechnology, is the study and application of extremely small things. How to become one?

A bachelor's degree is the minimum required for a nanotechnology engineering career.

Some schools combine nanotechnology with electrical engineering, others combine it with chemical engineering and materials engineering. Students should consider all course options to ensure that they choose a program that is consistent with their career goals.

Given the advanced prospects of nanotechnology in India, US-led nanotechnology companies such as Dow Chemical Company and Intel Corp. plan to build the world's first commercial research and development facility in the country. It is expected that nanotechnology will reach a peak of its development by 2030, making India a model country for all worlds. It will play an important role as a key component for the next generation of medical devices and medicines, as well as for the development of renewable energy and energy efficiency.
