Scope

  • Demand for specialist rheumatologists has increased recently, so the overall outlook for medical professionals seems pretty rosy.

  •  Also, young rheumatologists can open their practice to more patients with chronic diseases such as arthritis, fibromyalgia and multiple sclerosis. Interest in this area is high among prospective professionals as well as among general practitioners.

  • Some specialists have taught at various medical schools, but for geniuses in this field, research is the other best option.

  • In India, rheumatology as a super-specialization is struggling with reality, and its subject is largely ignored because most therapeutic universities do not have a rheumatology department, and if you ask MBBS students, they don't care about what is called "rheumatology," since the primary focus of their studies is on other disciplines such as neurology, psychiatry, medicine, and even medicine in general.

  • As a rheumatologist, this is very useful for companies, but not without low remuneration. This is a completely OPD-free method, as the joint infusion does not benefit the company.

  • Organic treatments are expensive. Even the prevalence of rheumatic diseases is low, the most basic of which are rheumatoid joint pain, ankylosing spondylitis (usually treated by an orthopaedic surgeon), psoriasis, joint pain, and vasculitis, which, like SLE, remains a walking region.

How much Rheumatologists make in India?

The average salary for a Rheumatologist is Rs 14,59,066 per year in India.
