The Bihar Education Project Council (BEPC), together with the UNICEF, is set to provide online career counselling sessions to help the students who have undertaken Class 10 and 12 examinations.

With most of the students still unsure about their pursuit, and closure of all educational institutes and consultancy centres due to a nationwide lock down, these online sessions will provide some much needed counselling to the students. Student can participate in the sessions from April 9 on YouTube.

BEPC State programme officer Kiran Singh informed that it will be an hour long live counselling session and will be available every Thursday at 4 p.m. from April 9 to May 7.

A total of five sessions has been proposed by BEPC. According to Kiran, “The experts will offer advise to students based on their inclination. Students can join the live session free of cost. Experts will speak on several traditional and vocational courses and elaborate on their scopes.”

Thanks to YouTube’s feature, students will be able to comment and ask questions side-by-side. These will be answered at the end of the session.

These are the 5 topics for the sessions as scheduled by BEPC: career portal orientation, what after school, vocational/diploma oriented careers and its scope, career options in education and teaching and career options in medical. The students will also be informed about multiple scholarships that they can avail to financially support their education.
