National Testing Agency (NTA) announced that candidates who are appearing for the JEE Main 2020 can now change their city of examination till April 14, 2020. The key reason for this is the covid-19 pandemic.
The announcement was made on the official JEE Main website jeemain.nta.in in form of a notice. Read the official notice released by NTA here.
The notice reads,” It is notified that in view of the hardships faced by the aspirant of JEE (Main) 2020 due to COVID-19 epidemic, the NTA has further expanded the scope of making corrections in the application forms to now also include the choice of cities for the centre.”
Candidates are also advised to check all the other details in their application form and rectify them by April 14, 2020.
NTA further states, “The NTA will make efforts to allot the city of examination to the candidates in order of the choices opted by them in their application forms, subject to the availability of capacity in the desired city.”
NTA, however, may not be able to follow through due to administrative reasons.
