Textile Engineering
What is Textile Engineering?
We usually associate textiles with design. We forget that there is a larger field of research related to textiles and manufacturing. It's about the science of playing with clothes, fabrics and colours. It includes principles, laws, and scientific techniques. We use them to develop and manufacture fibres, fabrics, garments, and textiles.
The mission of textile engineering is to train, combine theory, practice, and scientific research. The goal is to apply this knowledge in their chosen professions. Graduates are expected to pursue careers in basic and applied research. They will contribute original results and publications in the fields of fibres and textiles.
