What is the Central Armed Police Force?
The CAPF or Central Armed Police Force is the uniform classification of the seven security forces that operate under the jurisdiction of the Minister of Home Affairs of India. CAPF is divided into the Central Industrial security force (CISF), Central Reserve Police force (CRPF), National Security Guards (NSG), Sasthra Seema Bal (SSB), Border Security Force (BSF), Assam Rifles and Indo-Tibetian Border Police (ITBP).
What does Central Armed police force do?
The ministry of home affairs in India maintains seven central armed police forces and their responsibilities are:

Eligibility for Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) Exam
CAPF is a competitive exam which is conducted by the Union public service commission (UPSC). There are certain education criteria that the candidate must have posses to be eligible in the CAPF exam and those are:

As part of the UPSC CAPF eligibility criteria, aspirants are required to hold a bachelor's degree from a government recognized institution. The university should be incorporated by the act of central or state legislature

Other Educational Institutes established as a direct act of parliament and deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act.
The application procedure for CAPF exam is as follows:

Candidates can apply through UPSC online website.

The online application process is comprised of two stages.

Candidates are advised to sign and scan their photographs before signing up for the application form.

An application fee of Rs 200 would be required to submit online.
Career Scope of CAPF officers in India
Security is a major factor in all countries. Security is not only constricted to military but also social, political, humanitarian and ecological aspects.
